Commission Denies Checkerís Request for Retention after He Presents Forged Doctorís Note
May 7, 2014
The Commission today denied Checker Joseph Donnellyís Request for Retention. In support of his Request, Donnelly submitted a letter purportedly from his doctor indicating that he was seen by her on various dates. The purported Doctorís note was in fact fraudulent and Donnelly did not appear at the doctorís office as he claimed on the dates in question. The note contained incorrect information including a wrong address, incorrect spellings and telephone number. The Doctorís signature was a forgery.
The Waterfront Commission denied Donnellyís Request for Retention as he failed to establish the requisite good cause for his failure to meet the work requirements and he was decasualized.
